The Peninsula New York recently announced a new art exhibit entitled “Home,” which it describes as “an exhibition honoring the notions of home, identity and community.” The exhibition features artists including Do Ho Suh, Catherine Opie, Angel Otero and more.

Some of the largest pieces in the exhibit are two, large-scale architectural installations by Do Ho Suh. In the hotel’s Palm Court, glimpse his “Wielandstr. 18, 12159 Berlin – 3 Corridors,” which depicts his former apartment in Berlin in fabric. In the hotel’s Gotham Lounge, see the artist’s “Cause & Effect” made up of hundreds of acrylic figures that form a giant cone chandelier that hangs from the ceiling and almost touches the floor.

Spot Opie’s work in the upper lobby, including portraits of her colleagues and friends. Also in the lobby, view Otero’s innovative paintings inspired by his childhood in Puerto Rico. In the hotel entrance sits Ashley Bickerton’s “The Edge of Things.”
