Opening this month on the sun-splashed island of Ibiza is Minor Hotels NH Collection Ibiza, a 5-star property in Spain’s Balearic Islands.
Formerly Sir Joan hotel, this property underwent a refurbishment in line with NH Collection’s premium standards, enhancing both the quality of its facilities and its services, including a gastronomic offering featuring a new restaurant and new cocktail options. NH Collection Ibiza aims to become one of the benchmarks of premium tourism in Ibiza.

Overlooking the port of Ibiza and Old Town, the hotel is a perfect meeting point for national and international visitors to this trendy and vibrant island. Its privileged location, combined with the management of Minor Hotels under the NH Collection brand, positions it as a key asset in the premium segment of the Balearic Islands.
“The introduction of NH Collection Ibiza into the Balearic Islands tourism market represents a key strategic flag for the brand,” said Gonzalo Aguilar, CEO, Minor Hotels, Europe & Americas. “It will allow us to position ourselves with an asset that will strengthen both our presence in Spain as a whole and our offering in a key location for our main outbound markets in the rest of Europe. It is also a significant milestone that coincides with the tenth anniversary of our NH Collection brand, which has established itself as a benchmark of quality around the world.”

“The Sir Joan was already a benchmark in design and location in the city of Ibiza and we acquired it with the aim of boosting its success with a benchmark brand and a stronger contract,” said Aleix Recasens, founding partner, AX Partners. “This project will not only strengthen Ibiza’s hotel offering but will also mark a milestone as the first NH Collection in the Balearic Islands. We are committed to adding value to this asset and to consolidating our position as one of the main hotel players in the Spanish market.”
NH Collection Ibiza is located within walking distance of Ibiza’s top attractions, including UNESCO-listed Old Town; marina; and the island’s best nightlife spots, including Pacha and Lío.
