Malaysia Airlines recategorized its first-class cabins; the company is labeling it as premium business class. No changes have been made to the seats, configuration or service offerings.

As of Dec. 12, first-class cabins on the airline’s Airbus A350-900 and A380-800s will be called Business Suite. These seats are found on the airline’s London, Tokyo and Osaka routes, and Sydney and Seoul routes during the winter.

The airline said Business Suite seats will be sold “at an attractive price point for passengers” in response to growing demand from business travelers; corporate policy often restricts the use of first class.

The suites are arranged in a 1-2-1 formation. On the A350 there are four seats with a retractable privacy door while the A380 has eight open suites. Ticketed passengers can access a dedicated check-in counter, use of the airline’s first-class lounge and a 110-pound bag allowance.

The airline said it’s making no changes to the seats, service, food, drink or entertainment options.

Izham Ismail, group CEO, Malaysia Airlines, said, “The new Business Suite was introduced in response to the growing demand of our guests. “Our target is to enable the frequent flyer, looking for enhanced comfort, to now be able to enjoy a premium experience at competitive prices. We are confident that our new Business Suite will change the way people travel in business class.”
