LIFE Rewards, a travel- and event-booking platform immersed in metaverse marketing, recently announced the launch of an online booking platform that allows users to make hotel reservations that can be digitized and converted into tradeable, collectible NFTs.
“Travel and entertainment are ripe for disruption by the blockchain, which enables travel reservations and event tickets to be tokenized and traded securely and seamlessly,” said Eduardo Ibañez, scientist, LIFE Rewards. “Hotels will welcome LIFE, since it helps them solve the problem of high cancellation rates by creating bookings that, for the first time ever, can be traded on secondary markets rather than cancelled when travelers’ plans change.”

This marks the first platform to make large volumes of hotel bookings available for trading on secondary markets. This is similar to existing setups like buying concert, baseball or even Broadway tickets on secondary markets. The launch will see discounted prices on millions of hotels globally.
The creation of this platform allows both hotels and travelers to enjoy more flexibility and an improved booking experience. Additionally, users can pay via debit or credit card or with crypto payments.
