Japan Airlines’ newly renovated Sakura lounge for international flights at Osaka Kansai Airport International Airport is now open. Located near Gate 37, the updated facilities offer customers a relaxing place to have a rest while traveling though Kansai Airport.
Redesigned in “modern Japanese style,” the lounge is a comfortable environment where visitors enjoy traditional Japanese hospitality.
Highlights of the new Sakura Lounge include:
- Newly designed entrance and interiors
- Seating for 177 guests (excluding seats in private room and massage chairs)
- Smoking room with seats
- Two massage chairs
- New baggage storage with electric locks
- Spacious dining area with a large middle table
- Improved buffet counter
- More power outlets around each seat
- Bigger displays for flight information

At our first hotel in Siem Reap, huge coaches constantly pulled up outside the lobby to deposit or receive international tour groups; we departed in very different style, in a 1965 black Mercedes limousine once owned by King Sihanouk. The mundanities of mass tourism were left behind. We progressed through the chaotic Cambodian streets in regal comfort and soon arrived at a solid gate.
