Newly opened in Miami, through May 5, Tequila Town is a 25,000-square-foot immersive experience that dives into the vibrant history, rich culture and fascinating stories that reveal the tale of this beloved distilled spirit.

“Tequila Town is a living thread of agave, ancestry, and celebration — where every sip carries the echo of those who came before, and every step forward becomes part of the story we leave behind,” said Danié Gómez Ortigoza, cultural architect and Mexican-American multimedia artist. “We created Tequila Town because in a world that is always rushing, we crave spaces that make us feel rooted again and people don’t just want entertainment — they want belonging and meaning. And the format in which we’re sharing the story of tequila makes this happen.”

Visitors embark on a cinematic, cultural “train” journey that transports them back in time, delivering them to 10 separate environments that illustrate the story of agave and tequila through a blend of ritual, food, music, live demonstrations, architecture and live performances by Mexican artisans.

“Tequila Town is the physical embodiment of our liquid heritage,” said Alex Coronado, Maestro Tequilero. “As an 11th-generation Mexican family-owned company, Cuervo has been stewards of this craft from the very beginning and this experience lets people see and taste that legacy firsthand. What’s remarkable is the breadth of pioneering tequilas represented.”

These, explained Coronado, range from Cuervo (the world’s first tequila) and 1800 (the first Añejo), to Reserva de la Familia (the first Extra Añejo) and Dobel (the first Cristalino).

“Each tequila represents a moment where the category was progressed,” Coronado continued. “Tequila Town is an opportunity for consumers to experience these tequilas from the pioneers who shaped the field, and to walk away understanding everything the spirit can be.”
