Iberia revealed a bigger and better premium lounge at Madrid (MAD). The existing lounge expanded by 25 percent to nearly 27,000 square feet of space, designed with the frequent traveler in mind.

Located in the T4 Satellite building, the new lounge accommodates up to 500 customers, offering views of take-off and landing runways. Guests enjoy unlimited WiFi, comfortable furniture with USB charging ports, larger restaurant areas, a rest zone with large showers and a Vinothècque with 22 selections of Spanish regional wines.

The food service is the central focus of the new space. Customers have access to hot and cold self-serve items as well as a sit-down restaurant where Spanish and international fare is available.

“From now on, to rest, to work, to enjoy a refreshment, or calmly wait for your flight to be called have a new meaning; we have made improvements to everything, with special attention to connectivity and food service, for an unrivalled customer experience,” said Gabriel Perdiguero, customer and business transformation director, Iberia.

In the coming days, touchscreen tablets will be installed in the buffet area to supply the latest information about food and beverage offerings, along with recommendations. Coffee and tea areas will also be added.
