Willard InterContinental Washington, D.C. recently unveiled its reimagined guestrooms and suites. The design project pays homage to key moments in American history across its 335 restored accommodations, including 69 suites and 14 signature suites.
Guestrooms feature a pied-à-terre concept, offering guests the feel of a home away from home complemented by a neutral color palette accented with soft blue tones.

Each of the signature suites pays tribute to historical figures through its design elements. The six restored Oval Suites primarily honor important female figures in American history including Eleanor Roosevelt, Julia Ward Howe and Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune. Each suite features a mural inspired by its namesake.
The four Specialty Suites feature design elements inspired by Helen Hayes, Jenny Lind, Martin Luther King Jr. and Henry Augustus Willard. The four Presidential Suites showcase presidential portraits of Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, George Washington and Theodore Roosevelt.
