Hilton made a couple of exciting announcements regarding its industry-leading loyalty program, making is easier for Hilton Honors members to earn points and unlock rewards.

Starting in April, Hilton will update how members earn points with new elite tier bonus rates for Silver (20 percent), Gold (80 percent) and Diamond (100 percent), and frequent customers can benefit from 10,000 bonus points on every 10th night once they reach 40 nights in a calendar year. On top of that, Diamond members will earn a 30,000-point bonus for more than 60 nights in a year. Members staying 60 or more nights in a calendar year can also gift Gold status to a travel partner.

Silver, Gold and Diamond members can now roll over qualifying nights earned beyond their current elite tier requirement to count toward their elite tier status the following year.

In addition to these changes, Gold and Diamond Hilton Honors members can now enjoy complimentary continental breakfast or a food and beverage credit at all Hilton luxury properties like Waldorf Astoria.

Hilton also announced its members can now redeem points for purchases at Amazon.com — making Hilton the first hotel brand to offer the opportunity.

The benefit is free to use and available to all eligible members. They simply need to complete a one-time link of their Hilton Honors account to their Amazon.com account, and, from there, members choose the number of points they wish to use when checking out a purchase.

Amazon Shop with Points is the fourth new Hilton Honors benefit launched this year, following perks like Points Pooling, Diamond Status Extension and the Points & Money Rewards reward-night slider.
