London-based Saar Zafrir Design unveiled its latest project: Galei Kinneret Hotel. Located on the Sea of Galilee, the restored 123-room property was one of Israel’s first luxury hotels, originally built in 1946.

In redesigning the uninhabited hotel, Saar Zafrir Design drew inspiration from ancient ruins and the natural landscape. Much of the building’s original façade is kept intact, while the interior is transformed into a calming oasis offering views of the Sea of Galilee. The property features 123 guestrooms and suites with outdoor Jacuzzis. Rooms feature either a view of the mountains or the Sea of Galilee from large windows. Décor throughout boasts a muted color palette with gold accents.

Guests can take advantage of an indoor and outdoor bar, pool, outdoor yoga deck, spa, fitness center and restaurant. There is a private beach, boat and synagogue available as well. The hotel’s airy lobby matches its natural surroundings, with muted tones, wood-paneled walls and linen-upholstered sofas with wooden accents. Lotte, the hotel’s restaurant, named for its original owner Lotte Eisenberg, offers a menu of European dishes with the flavors of Jerusalem. The hotel’s outdoor restaurant overlooks its private beach. Take a swim in the outdoor pool and gaze upon archaeological artifacts displayed beneath the pool’s glass bottom.

May 24, 2022Brasserie Mon Chou Chou Review
What happens when three of the six French nationals residing in San Antonio get together? If they happen to be from a long line of proud French gourmands from three different regions of the country, they take what they know and make it something proudly Texan, while still adhering to their separate and collective culinary roots. That’s exactly what happened as a result of those three — Executive Chef Laurent Réa of Strasbourg, Philippe Placé of Chartres, and Jérôme Sérot of Lyon — meeting 20 years ago.

May 23, 2022Recharge and Renew at The Spa at Four Seasons Philadelphia
As a mom, you’re not allowed to pick favorites. With a growing baby in my belly and a toddler guiding my daily routines, my own favorites often take a back seat as I make the daily choice to swap healthy foods for junk food cravings and toddler tunes for windows-down, volume-up jams. But when I heard my favorite spa was relaunching its facial program, I felt zero guilt — of the mom variety or otherwise — about taking a morning off and booking myself a nice, long, rejuvenating facial at The Spa at Four Seasons Philadelphia at Comcast Center.
