Marriott International’s elite Autograph Collection expanded into Dunedin, Florida, with the launch of the Fenway Hotel. The historic, boutique property has a unique partnership with the Dunedin History Museum and Taoist Tai Chi Society, and will offer guests the opportunity to explore Tai Chi classes on the lawn. Other curated experiences include live musical performances in the lobby, culinary events, dinner dances, bridge parties, skeet shooting, croquet and bicycle tours along urban pathways that include the 40-mile-long Pinellas Trail.
The property’s enchanting history dates to 1927, when rooms hosted luminaries such as famous explorers, artists, politicians and musicians. Even before then, in 1925, Pinellas County’s first radio station broadcast news and music from the rooftop. Today, 83 guestrooms and suites provide luxury lodging, while dining choices include HEW Parlor & Chophouse for chophouse cuts, Hi-Fi Rooftop Bar with views of St. Joseph Sound and 10,000 square feet of meeting and event space.
Guests can hop on the Jolly Trolley to access Clearwater Beach, Tarpon Springs and other nearby destinations. Objects on loan from the Dunedin History Museum will be on display in a rotating exhibition in the lobby. Throughout the year, special tours and programming at the museum will be available to Fenway guests.

Mar 28, 2024Cruise Lines Elevate the Onboard Fine-Dining Experience
It’s been a long time since the food on cruise ships resembled the bland, uninspired fare that gave onboard dining a bad name. These days, cruise passengers can look forward to menus created by Michelin-starred chefs made with top-quality ingredients served in stunning spaces. Choices abound as well. In addition to elegant main dining rooms, cruise ships have created a huge array of specialty restaurants that focus not only on perfectly executed traditional European and North American dishes but flavors and experiences from around the globe as well. In fact, meals served aboard cruise vessels have gotten so good, they’re drawing passengers onto ships: According to a recent report by luxury travel planning network Virtuoso, advisors report after Europe (specifically Italy and France), the No. 2 dining destination for travelers is aboard an ocean or river cruise. “This shows how cruise lines have really stepped up their culinary game, with consulting chefs and new restaurants and making that a focal point,” said Misty Belles, vice president, Global Public Relations, Virtuoso.
