Fairmont Hotels & Resorts is developing two new properties in Morocco and Saudi Arabia. Both are scheduled to open before 2020. The addition of these properties will grow the brand’s portfolio to 20 hotels in the region. The Fairmont Taghazout Bay is a seaside resort on the Atlantic coast of Morocco, adjacent to the Kyle Phillips golf course. The property will offer 155 guestrooms with ocean views, as well as 52 waterfront residential villas. The 27,000-square-foot resort will include meeting and event spaces and a spa. Dining options include an all-day restaurant, specialty restaurant, lounge and beach pool bar and grill. The Fairmont Al Khobar will sit on the coast of the Arabian Gulf and offer 240 guestrooms and 12 serviced residences. More than 43,000 square feet of meeting and event space is planned, as well as a spa and at least three dining options. The property’s location is the high-end commercial district of the city, near dining, shopping and green space.
