New Yorkers will be thrilled to learn more cell service will soon be available on parts of select trains in New York City. MTA officials announced the expanded service will come to the 4 and 5 train tunnels from Bowling Green in Manhattan to Borough Hall in Brooklyn.
Additionally, large portions of the G train from Court Street to Hoyt-Schermerhorn streets station will also receive cell service. At no cost to the public, the expanded service will provide greater connectivity for New Yorkers and visitors alike.
A date has not yet been announced for the service, with MTA estimating it will launch in one or two years, with more trains to follow.
