Day 1-5

Yokohama is the gateway to Tokyo’s captivating mix of tradition and innovation. If time allows, sample signature sights: the moats and stone walls of Imperial Palace Plaza, the forested sanctuary of Meiji Shrine, the lantern‑lined approach to Sensoji Temple, and skyline views from Tokyo Tower. Nearby, Sankeien Gardens and Kamakura’s Great Buddha offer calm moments before your ship departs.

On day two, unwind in Toba’s island‑dotted bays and discover its pearl‑diving heritage. Stroll the waterfront, visit coastal viewpoints and savor fresh seafood as gentle tides set an easy rhythm.

This full day unlocks two personalities: Kyoto’s classical grace — temples, serene gardens and tea‑house traditions — and Osaka’s exuberant energy, from canal‑side promenades to beloved street foods. Curated shore excursions make it simple to tailor your focus, then return for a sunset sailaway.

At sea on day four, let the pace soften. Enjoy a Lotus Spa treatment, linger over regional cuisine, or catch Movies Under the Stars® on deck. Take in some of the finest cruise ship entertainment as the 300-square-foot movie theater lights up the top deck day or night with feature films, thrilling concerts and exciting sporting events.

A city of remembrance and renewal, Hiroshima invites reflection at Peace Memorial Park and along tree‑lined boulevards threaded by rivers. Consider a visit to nearby Miyajima, home to the iconic “floating” torii gate, before rejoining the ship.

Day 6-11

Rise early on day six for a dramatic transit between Honshu and Kyushu. Watch fishing boats, bridges and green headlands slip by as the straits narrow and the scenery closes in.

South Korea’s vibrant port of Busan blends sweeping beaches and bustling markets with coastal temples and panoramic overlooks. Sample local flavors, browse lively districts and enjoy a warm harbor welcome.

On day eight, Nagasaki charms with hillside neighborhoods, historic churches and a scenic harborfront. Meander atmospheric streets for photo‑worthy views and cultural depth.

After a day at sea on day nine, few moments rival your first clear view of Mount Fuji rising 12,389 feet above the coast. Venture into Hakone National Park: soar the Hakone Ropeway over Owakudani’s steaming vents, then glide across Lake Ashi with Fuji’s perfect cone crowning the scene. Return with memory‑card‑worthy panoramas.

Arrive in Yokohama and bid farewell to Japan’s captivating contrasts on the last day.
