EVA Air introduced digitized reading materials for passengers across its global network. The new EVA e-Library service is now available for international EVA and UNI Air passengers, allowing them to download newspapers, magazines and books on their mobile devices. The options are available 48 hours before departure and up to 24 hours after departure. EVA is the first airline in Taiwan to offer a service of this kind.

Content available is based on passengers’ Infinity MileageLands card tier or cabin class. As many as 20 newspapers, magazines, books and periodicals are available to Diamond Card travelers, while business-class passengers have a choice of 10. Select publications are on offer for all frequent flyers and cabin classes, and additional reading material can be purchased.

“Climate change and environmental protection practices are a critical concern for all of us,” said Clay Sun, president, EVA. “EVA accelerated development of our digital reading services to not only expand inflight reading material selections and boost COVID safety but also protect our environment. We launched our EVA e-Library to meet the high standards our passengers expect from us and deliver another automated service, consistent with the contact-free check-in and limited-interaction boarding we have been piloting while COVID is upending the travel industry.”

In celebration of the launch, EVA offers nine additional free downloads through March 31. Some of the titles in the EVA e-Library Service include Marie Claire, GQ, Bon Appetit and Sports Illustrated.
