Etihad Airways is opening a new airport lounge concept called “The House” in Melbourne (MEL) and Sydney (SYD).
The new brand was first unveiled in Heathrow (LHR) last month in partnership with lounge services provider No1 Lounges. The facilities at the Australian airports were rebranded with the new concept last month.
The airline said the new concept brings with it better food and beverage options, with an emphasis on wellbeing and local produce. There are self-service and a la carte menus, plus new cocktail and mocktail options.
Both airport lounges will be refurbished over the next year to add reading rooms and a private room for VIP and The Residence guests in Sydney. Lounge access for Etihad customers won’t change and will continue to be accessible to premium passengers of a small number of other airlines. Economy-class passengers can also get paid access.

We look forward to welcoming our guests down-under to a new and enhanced airport experience,” said Linda Celestino, vice president guest experience and delivery, Etihad Airways.
