Etihad Airways unveiled a new economy-class experience in conjunction with its refurbished Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft.

Now, the narrow-body aircraft, which serve short-haul, regional routes, feature extra-spatial design seats with increased knee room and extra convenience for USB charging. Seats also feature an adjustable phone and tablet holder.

Economy-class guests also now enjoy wireless, in-flight entertainment aboard the two aircraft, with access to stream more than 300 hours of movies and television shows.

On flights more than three hours, complimentary dining service now includes a larger, bistro-style meal that is not only tasty, but more eco-friendly as well. New plates are made from recycled materials and cutlery is 85 percent lighter to reduce aircraft weight and fuel burn. Etihad plans to remove 27 million plastic lids and other containers from its service, reducing single-use plastics by 80 percent by 2022.

Dessert items are served separately with after-meal coffee and tea. Retail menu complements are available, with slightly expanded options.

New blankets, pillows and headrest covers are also available.
