Emirates’ newly revamped Airbus A380 Onboard Lounge made its operational debut on a flight to Kuala Lumpur (KUL), marking the ninth anniversary of the airline’s A380 service.
The Onboard Lounge was first introduced in 2008 and has since become a mainstay on the airline’s double-decker aircraft, and one of the most popular onboard lounges in the air.
The latest makeover includes private yacht cabins and a more intimate social area. The exclusive lounge accommodates 26 guests and serves the finest wines and Champagnes from around the world, including Moët & Chandon and Veuve Clicquot.
In addition to this news, the airline also announced it will increase capacity on its services to Egypt Oct. 29, with the launch of four additional flights each week to Cairo (CAI).
The four new flights will increase the number of frequencies between Dubai (DXB) and Cairo to three each day, taking the total number of weekly Cairo flights to 21.
A 360-seat Boeing 777-300ER will service the new flights, adding 1,440 seats each way per week on the route.
