Named after the road on which it lies, Eleven brings elevated dining to South Dublin in Loughlinstown, about 30 minutes south of Dublin’s city center. Open Wednesday–Saturday from 5 p.m., Eleven sits on the second floor above Whelehan’s Wines in a space transformed into a warm and welcoming dining room.

In addition to a light-filled front room, Eleven features a large, zinc-topped bar and a space with high-top tables. In summer, an expansive terrace at the back of the restaurant opens to allow diners to enjoy a sunny al-fresco option.

Eleven makes it mark with Oyster Happy Hour, a weekday event from 5 to 7 p.m. in which guests can enjoy local Achill oysters and specials on the restaurant’s extensive cocktail list, featuring many Eleven exclusives. On the main menu, guests will find perfectly grilled meats and seafood thanks to a wood-burning grill.

Serving only the best and freshest of ingredients, highlights include seared tuna steak, grilled prawns, rib-eye steak and more. Eleven also boasts some stunning side dishes to complement any main dish, including BBQ carrots, charred Hispi cabbage with bacon and Kombu, watercress salad apple vinaigrette and Hegarty’s cheddar whey.

On Sunday, opt for a classic roast with a choice of meat served alongside savory sauces and accompanied by Yorkshire pudding and other side plates. For drinks, Eleven goes all out with a full bar featuring cocktails and an extensive wine list ranging from a $10 glass of wine to a $650 bottle of wine. Cocktail lovers must try Eleven’s concoction of mezcal, wild Irish honey and lime, or a drink consisting of Aperol, pisco, yuzu, miso and egg white.

Loughlinstown is a haven for locals and travelers looking to escape the bustle of Dublin’s city center and enjoy the seaside. The neighborhood sits a short drive from Dalkey, a popular beach spot in the summer months and home to Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel, about 15 minutes from Booterstown, a neighborhood featuring the 5-star Radisson Blu St. Helen’s Hotel, Dublin.
