A blend of Alice in Wonderland-like flowers and European-chic vibes, Dalloway Terrace sits just off Bloomsbury Hotel in the heart of London. The restaurant draws you in first with its dazzling wall of seasonal flowers. Visiting in the summer entailed dining alongside bright and pastel colors of pink, purple, yellow and white, with twinkling lights woven in throughout the plants.

Dalloway Terrace embraces an English garden atmosphere with white marble tables and chairs, and benches styled like ones found hidden in a garden. On colder evenings, the restaurant provides cozy blankets draped over the backs of chairs for customers to stay warm.

The restaurant is perfect for all occasions, from weekend brunch to afternoon tea to dinner and even festive meals on Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve. Coming for a pre-theater meal in the summer, however, allowed me to choose from an array of dishes like black cod fillet with miso glaze and wild mushroom risotto.

For my main course, I opted for a pasta dish with a creamy tomato sauce, Parmesan cheese and breadcrumbs. I dined with my sister, and we split two sides: fries and broccolini set over a sauce with just the right amount of spice. The pasta dish was excellent, the sauce well-seasoned and flavorful.

I was most excited for the cocktails, as Dalloway Terrace draws many in with its seasonal cocktail menus and partnerships with acclaimed brands.

For the summer season, Dalloway Terrace featured bright, light and refreshing cocktails with Belvedere Organic Infusions as the main star. I took no time deciding, wanting to try the blackcurrant (one of my favorite sweet flavors) drink, consisting of Belvedere Organic Infusions Blackberry and Lemongrass, blackcurrant sorbet, jasmine liqueur and peach and jasmine soda.

My sister landed on the Natural Couple, a slushy-like drink with Belvedere Organic Infusions Pear and Ginger, lime juice, pear sorbet, belle de brillet and Sassy Pear Cider. Both cocktails (we tried each other’s drinks) went above our expectations. Dalloway Terrace has truly mastered the seasons through food and drink, and nothing is more evident than in the cocktails. Honing in the different scents and flavors we associate with the different seasons is a difficult skill, but each menu item and drink proves Dalloway Terrace knows how to embrace the seasons and awe customers.

The entire experience was more than pleasant, with the staff most attentive and caring. For me, a smile goes a long way, and every server at Dalloway Terrace made my sister and I feel welcome. I look forward to returning to this restaurant in the near future and plan to visit during different seasons to see the seasonal flowers adorning the walls and taste each season’s foods and drinks.
