With an exceptional menu and great downtown location in Denver’s LoDo neighborhood, Coohills Restaurant & Bar is one of the city’s not-to-miss dining experiences. Award-winning chef-owner Tom Coohill’s training includes stints at three-Michelin star L’Oustau de Baumaniere (France), five-star Mobile Le Francais (Illinois) and Ma Maison (Los Angeles), and his own acclaimed Ciboulette in Atlanta. The popular Denver eatery has a strong focus on local, regional and farm-fresh ingredients, and features an open kitchen and chef’s counter with five-, seven- and 10-course tasting menus with or without wine pairings.

Chef Coohill’s menu of beautiful food includes seasonal choices such as hot smoked Skuna Bay salmon, Burgundy snails, and Scotty’s Toulousain Cassoulet. Don’t miss the brioche bread pudding with salted walnut brittle and whipped cream for dessert, or the fabulous menu of cocktails. Try a Huckleberry Lemonade (44N Huckleberry Vodka, fresh lemon juice, RSS and soda water), Bee’s Sneeze (Aviation Gin, lemon juice, black pepper honey simple syrup, cream and cracked black pepper) or Dark Side of the Moon (Bulleit bourbon, lemon juice, simple syrup, orange bitters, mint and muddled blackberries).

Hostería del Marqués Review

The small colonial town of Valladolid in the center of the Yucatan peninsula is easy to see in a day or two, but when you’re not roaming the streets, snapping photos of the brightly colored houses and buildings, swimming in the nearby cenote or admiring the architecture of the 16th-century convent of San Bernardino de Siena, consider passing time in the multipurpose Hostería del Marqués, a hotel that offers more than just lodging.

The Perfect Fit

According to the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Office of Advocacy, small businesses create two-thirds of net new jobs and account for nearly 48 percent of the U.S. private sector workforce. And small- and medium-sized businesses outpace all other sectors as one of the fastest-growing in the United States. InterContinental® Hotels Group (IHG) goes above and beyond to create opportunities for this segment with its IHG® Business Edge program, voted Best Small- to Mid-Sized Business Program in Global Traveler’s 2019 GT Tested Reader Survey awards.

Eco-Friendly Tours with REI Adventures, Aqua Expeditions and More

HIKING ALONG A PATH THROUGH THE FOREST, the only sounds I heard were the wind rustling through the leaves, the flow of a distant waterfall and, from time to time, the soft sounds of chatter from the others in my group. Missing were the sounds of traffic rushing by, car horns and the din of the everyday world in which most of us live. On this part of the Japan Hiking – Kumano Kodo & Nakasendo trip with REI Adventures, just the eight of us were on the trail, not another human in sight. An eco-adventure at its best, and it was glorious.

Athens: A city that charms its guests and stirs their emotions

The city took its name from Athena, goddess of wisdom, strategy and war, and protector of the city. The financial, political and administrative center of the country and an all-powerful city-state in antiquity, Athens is a major center of culture. A visit to the first-ever museum dedicated to Byzantium, a stroll around the National Garden and a trip to the Olympeion archaeological site will take you back through time.

The Retreat at Blue Lagoon Iceland Review

Iceland’s otherworldly landscape made the perfect backdrop for the beloved Game of Thrones, which did some filming here. Iceland’s angry volcanoes, unbridled seas, ubiquitous rainbows, explosive geysers, waterfalls, glaciers, lava fields and jaw-dropping Northern Lights make it like no destination on earth.
