COMO Hotels & Resorts invites travelers on an epic Arctic adventure. Following a completely sold-out debut in 2025, COMO Journey: Into the Arctic returns for 2026. The brand partners with expedition operator Natural World Safaris on the Arctic exploration aboard seven-suite m/s Polarfront.
Two expeditions are available: The Arctic Awakens (May 13–23) and The Arctic’s Final Glow (Sept. 13–24). These immersive, small-group journeys bring travelers to remote areas of Svalbard. Each voyage operates on a flexible schedule depending on weather, wildlife and other opportunities. Led by experts, guests experience hands-on exploration complemented with onboard discussions.
Held early in the season, The Arctic Awakens shows travelers the Arctic at its most pristine. Expect to see polar bears, walruses and a variety of sea birds among the glacial fjords. Taking place during the midnight sun, this journey is perfect for those interested in experiencing the Arctic come to life.
On the opposite end, The Arctic’s Final Glow offers a softer side of the region with sea ice opening to reveal whales, and the tundra welcoming reindeer and Arctic foxes. In addition to milder temperatures, guests are more likely to witness the Northern Lights during this voyage. Both voyages feature COMO’s signature culinary and wellness offerings.

Please enjoy the Wave Issue, our cruising special for the first half of 2026. Cruising is booming, and travelers cannot get enough of it. I just returned from a fantastic trip on Regent Seven Seas Mariner with a group of Globility Board members and other Global Traveler subscribers. We departed from İstanbul and made our way through the Dardanelles Strait, connecting the Sea of Marmara to the Aegean. From there we entered the Mediterranean. The ship made interesting stops in Greece, Montenegro and Croatia before docking in Trieste. Please read my GT Tested review of Seven Seas Mariner in this issue.
