Located deep within the lovely landscape of Provence, 5-star Château de Berne provides a stunning setting for a leisurely destination getaway or unforgettable corporate event.
Located in the Var region between Lorgues and Flayosc, this property is part of the Relais & Châteaux collection, and is spread across 1,270 acres (including 370 acres of organic vineyards), complete with 34 rooms and suites, and one indoor and two outdoor pools. The peaceful landscaped gardens feature umbrella pines and fragrant lavender.
Additionally, there are seven private luxury homes available, positioned within the estate’s vineyards and olive groves. Each can comfortably accommodate between three and 20 guests, all of whom enjoy personalized access to the spa, cooking classes, private tastings, a private chef and other bespoke services. Most luxury homes have their own pool, while all offer expansive terraces.
For dazzling gastronomic experiences, there’s MICHELIN-starred Le Jardin of Berne, under the direction of Chef Louis Rameau and Pastry Chef Eric Raynal. More dining options include Chef’s Tables; L’Olivier de Berne; Le Bistro; and The Bar du Château de Berne, where visiting artists perform during weekly live music evenings. At the on-site cookery school, lessons are offered on Thursday mornings, followed by a sampling of dishes accompanied by estate wines.
For corporate retreats, the hotel’s In-house teams can arrange everything from meeting set-ups to floral arrangements to culinary experiences. Up to 120 meeting guests can be accommodated, and a host of perks are available whether your stay involves business, pleasure or a combination of the two.
The full-service Spa at Château de Berne overlooks olive groves and vineyards, with facilities including a steam room, sauna, solarium, two Jacuzzis and a relaxation space with an herbal tea room. On-theme treatments include Oenotheraphy, which utilizes skincare products created from grapes. Signature treatments include a selection of rituals. Among these are the Kyoto Ritual with time in a private hammam and a smoothing Kobido facial massage; and In the Heart of the Vines, an anti-aging grape body wrap and relaxing massage. Guests can also enjoy reiki treatments, private yoga and guided meditation sessions.

May 14, 2025Hotel Van Zandt Review
One step onto Austin’s Rainey Street and you’ll feel like you’ve joined the cool kids at the best playground in the city. Just behind the cottage bars, pint-sized skyscrapers soar. One of them, Hotel Van Zandt, the Rainey district's pièce de resistance, beckons with a song-like spirit —apropos because the independently owned property, rife with music motifs, was named after beloved singer-songwriter Townes Van Zandt. Sixteen stories high, the hotel embodies Austin’s lust for music, manifesting with a vinyl corner; trumpet chandeliers; myriad musical references; replica vintage posters in frames; and its own live music venue, which doubles as its acclaimed restaurant, Geraldine’s. Don’t miss the mesmerizing installation of colorful origami-like birds composed from vinyl records that flitter from an old phonograph.
