On Mother’s Day, Devonshire Cultural Center hosted an opening ceremony for The Unveiling of the Universe and Beyond, the latest art exhibit on display featuring the work of Dr. Elana Ashley. A multitalented entrepreneur, Dr. Ashley is a writer, motivational speaker and publisher, as well as an artist.
Through June 9, The Unveiling of the Universe and Beyond starts with The Core Foundation of the Universe. The universal artistic journey continues through the heavens to Earth, witnessing life forms and the development of mankind. It also includes the darker side of life.
Dr. Ashley’s goal is for people to reflect on humanity working together to create a global society. The pieces stand alone as beautiful creations or, even better, together as one wonderful message.
The exhibit includes pieces done using different mediums and styles. My favorite is Fish Swimming Together on Their Life Journey. It is similar to sealife artwork I have in my place. Another of my favorites is Celebrating Independence Day, July 4th, Chicago.
One of the most interesting things I witnessed was a wide-eyed youngster asking her mom about the various pieces. A young mind was growing and hopefully absorbing the positivity the exhibition promotes.
A long walk from my place, Devonshire Cultural Center has quickly become a favorite place to see such exhibits. I look forward to future exhibits.
