I took a trip to south Florida over the Fourth of July holiday and must blog about one of my favorite restaurants in Miami. Prime One Twelve (Myles Restaurant Group) is my new go-to dinner spot in South Beach. I don’t eat red meat or pork, so it’s difficult for me to find a steakhouse that I truly enjoy. Prime One Twelve exceeded all of my expectations.

The restaurant is located at the end of Ocean Drive on South Beach and sits directly across the street from the Hilton Bentley/Miami South Beach and the infamous Nikki Beach. The ambiance of the restaurant is warm, inviting and modern. Since I was enjoying dinner with girlfriends, we were pleased to see the vibe was not over-the-top masculine. The espresso martini was delicious, and they also have a wonderful selection of wines. I started off with lobster bisque and oysters Rockefeller and was very impressed with both selections.

My entrée of soy-marinated Chilean sea bass was top notch! My friends enjoyed the filet and veal chops and raved about their choices, too. They have a vast selection of side dishes. I highly recommend the five-cheese truffle MAC, sweet potato and vanilla bean mash and fried green tomatoes. We indulgently ordered the chocolate peanut butter s’mores. Although we needed a stretcher upon leaving, we were delighted with our final treat of the evening. Check out Prime One Twelve the next time you are in Miami; you will not be disappointed.
