This must be my time of year to travel. I realized a few months ago that I am always out of town over St. Patrick’s Day. Two years ago, I was in Seoul, South Korea, and last year I was on Hawaii’s Big Island. This year, I am in Abu Dhabi. Definitely all places worth visiting and worth missing a St. Patty’s Day celebration for! It’s nice to escape in March each year. All have been work trips, so they were busy, but as the weather is turning at home, it’s a perfect time to get away. The winter doldrums have reached a climax and I need to take a trip, escape the winter blues and catapult myself into spring. It rejuvenates me. I usually return home to nicer weather – hopefully, this year won’t be the exception. I can’t wait to share stories of my time in Abu Dhabi with you in upcoming blogs! Today we left the city itself and ventured out to the desert, to Liwa, where we are staying at the Qasr Al Sarab. Stay tuned! Do you have a favorite time of the year to travel?
