I recently traveled to sunny Florida to visit a few clients, and the trip’s end coincided with my mother’s birthday. Time is the gift we cannot buy, so I thought it would be great to fly her to Miami to celebrate her birthday in style. She happily agreed to the proposed plan!

She and I had a great time staying in North Beach, away from the hustle and bustle of South Beach but close enough by Uber to hop down for the nightlife and restaurants. Our hotel was right across the street from the beach, and we enjoyed walking in the sand after a nice Mediterranean lunch. We spent the weekend chatting and enjoying all Miami has to offer. I highly recommend Lobster Sea Grille in Miami Beach for a wonderful dining experience from start to finish.

The trip went by so fast, and I can’t wait to plan the next with my mom . . . also my best friend! Taking time for family is important; and if you have the option and it works with your schedule, I highly recommend incorporating time with friends and family while traveling on business, either before or after a trip. It is surely a great way to make some memories!
