Last week I stayed at the lovely Kimpton Shorebreak Huntington Beach Resort for a last-minute business trip. This stunning property is located right across from the beautiful Huntington Beach, right along Pacific Coast Highway. I was thoroughly impressed with this property and all of the great amenities offered during my stay.
Upon arrival I was kindly greeted by the valet team who assisted me with my luggage and directed me to the front desk to check in. After finding the front desk on the second floor, I was welcomed by a handful of team members waiting to assist me. Arturo and Jessica took the lead and checked me in for my stay. I happened to be early (given the time change) but was able to make my way to my room in just a few short minutes.
My room was located on the fourth floor with a beautiful oceanfront view overlooking the Pacific Ocean. As I walked in, I noticed how tidy and well-kept the room was. Shades of blues complemented the room along with other pops of color. I immediately noticed a record player in the room where guests can enjoy the old-school way of listening to music during their stay. I happen to have a Crosley record player at home where I enjoy collecting new and old records. I was intrigued to say the least with this unique amenity. I found guests are provided with two records but have access to the library downstairs for more records of various genres to explore.

My room happened to have great taste as I found a Rolling Stones vinyl and an Eagles vinyl already set to play. I then followed the instructions provided to listen to the record, as it can connect via Bluetooth and/or play the vinyl selected. Immediately the song “Hotel California” by the Eagles beamed through the loudspeakers. It set the tone of my stay (literally), as I enjoyed the song and my view of the Pacific Coast.
