As July comes to an end, I can’t help but look forward to the month of August. August is and always has been a favorite month of mine. This August happens to be a busy time for my travels. I begin the month with a trip to Chicago, flying out of Sarasota–Bradenton International Airport to Chicago O’Hare. Along with some of my colleagues, I will be attending our 12th annual TrazeeTravel Awards and ninth annual WhereverFamily awards at the Peninsula Chicago.
Our awards gala is where we highlight our winners chosen by our insightful readers within these platforms. We will also highlight our Industry Leaders and our Family Innovators of the Year at this gala. While in Chicago, I will be attending the Global Business Travel Association to meet with our clients across the travel industry. Safe to say it will be a busy few days.
At the end of the month I will be taking my first long-awaited vacation of 2026. I will be traveling with my boyfriend who also has not taken a vacation for the year yet. We are both ready, to say the least. Our leisure trip will begin out of Miami on a non-stop flight to Paris with FrenchBee. After a short nine-hour flight, we arrive in the “City of Love,” aka Paris! We are mostly looking forward to sightseeing and enjoying our stay at The Molitor Hotel & Spa. I will most definitely be enjoying a spa treatment during my stay and checking out their large swimming pool.

After a couple days exploring Paris, we then head to the French Riviera where we will be staying in the lavish city of Cannes. I am already preparing my wardrobe to look my best while visiting the French Riviera and the lovely Hotel Barrière Le Majestic Cannes where we happen to be staying. In Cannes I plan to enjoy the coastal side of France and compare their beaches to the sunny state of Florida.

After getting my taste of what France has to offer from Paris to the French Riviera, I then head to Dubrovnik, Croatia. I am especially looking forward to my stay at the stunning Hilton Imperial Dubrovnik. During my time in Dubrovnik I plan on exploring the Old Town and seeing the historical sights. I am also planning a boat day to explore the Adriatic firsthand. Overall, I am looking forward to 10 days of pure leisure and relaxation.
August will be quite the busy month, so if anyone asks, I will be on a plane going somewhere!
