Last weekend, a friend and I went to get pizza at a relatively new pizza place in the heart of Newtown. Acqua e Farina is a Neapolitan-style pizza place and serves a wide range of delicious creations.
The place was filled to the brim when we arrived, but, luckily, my friend knew a waitress and got us seated almost immediately.
The inside of the quaint little restaurant has authentic Italian photographs as well as décor all around the dining room. The centerpiece was the open kitchen, where you can see the food cooked as well as the beautiful clay oven.
I ordered a soup to start, and then we ordered meatballs stuffed with ricotta as an appetizer, which were great. After that, we ordered a couple specialty pizzas and shared them — of course, leaving some for a midnight snack.
My only complaint is that the parking lot was so small I had to do a six-point turn just to back out. Other than that, we had a great time and great food, and you can’t really ask for more than that!
