Earlier this month, my best friends and I decided to have a girls’ day out. We started our afternoon by enjoying a BYOB brunch at Honey’s Sit and Eat followed with a stop at Two Robbers Restaurant. While mimosas and brunch at Honey’s never disappoints, we were most excited to check out our second destination.

Two Robbers, opened in late December, is a brand-new spot in Fishtown brought to you by the popular seltzer company of the same name. The company was founded by Philadelphia residents Vivek and Vikram Nayar in 2018 and has been growing in popularity ever since. We were excited to make the trip there not only because we already liked the drinks but because the space could serve as both a piece of art and the exhibit itself. The curvy, bright green walls, a bathroom that feels like it belongs on a spaceship, and a colorful light wall at the entrance make the restaurant feel like it really is “existing in the space between beverages, art and conversation,” as quoted in the mission statement on its website.

Apart from the décor, they created a number of yummy-sounding cocktails using the seltzers. While I got the Black Cherry Lemon on draft, my friends all got cocktails that looked delicious. I took a sip of my friend’s Pineapple Ginger Buck, made with bourbon, pineapple, ginger, lime and the Pineapple Ginger seltzer, and was upset I didn’t order it myself. There also were a number of food options on the menu, including burgers, fries and appetizers; however, we didn’t try any as we were still stuffed from brunch.

While I do wish I got to try more on the menu, I am almost positive I will be back. Not only did we have a great experience this time around, the restaurant also has a massive outdoor space that I can only assume will be packed as soon as the weather gets warm. If you haven’t been yet, I definitely recommend checking it out, not only for drinks but for the atmosphere as well.
