British Airways announced plans to launch Airbus A380 services between London (LHR) and Johannesburg (JNB) from Feb. 12, 2014. Johannesburg will become the airline’s third A380 destination, joining Los Angeles (LAX) and Hong Kong (HKG). The superjumbo service to South Africa will initially operate three times a week before increasing to six flights a week from March 10. BA’s first scheduled superjumbo service will operate five times a week to Los Angeles from Sept. 24 before increasing to double-daily service from April 10, 2014. The carrier will offer daily A380 flights to Hong Kong from Oct. 22. The airline’s 469-seat A380 features four cabins, with 14 seats in first class, 492 in business, 55 in premium-economy and 303 in economy.
