Hodges Bay Resort & Spa, a boutique hotel on Antigua’s northern tip, recently announced the opening of Katsuya Beach, bringing a new type of shorefront dining to the area.

Katsuya has locations across Los Angeles, as well as at Baha Mar in The Bahamas. Now, as the brand celebrates its 20th anniversary, Katsuya makes its debut in Antigua.

Guests can expect delicious, island-inspired Japanese cuisine with a menu celebrating both Katsuya classics and Caribbean coastal flavors. Signature dishes include spicy tuna crispy rice and baked crab hand rolls, local lobster ceviche, grilled local lobster with Shichimi butter, and crispy local fish with Tobanjan mint sauce. Menus also feature sushi, sashimi, specialty rolls like the Surf & Turf Roll with filet mignon and truffle ponzu, miso-glazed salmon, angus filet mignon, and Tomahawk short rib.

The restaurant promises diners panoramic views of the turquoise waters and sunsets in an open-air space. The restaurant brings a design-forward space to Antigua’s dining scene with low lighting, dark finishes, Japanese motifs, palm imprints, and wood features that create a wave-like movement drawing the eye to the ocean.
