Travelers flying between the United States and Australia will have new options in the coming months after a joint business agreement was approved between American Airlines and Qantas.
The Department of Transportation’s final approval was the longtime objective of the airlines’ partnership.
“We look forward to working closely with our valued partner, Qantas, on this new joint business,” said Doug Parker, chairman and CEO, American Airlines. “We now have the opportunity to launch new routes and provide enhanced service with better schedules, additional frequent flyer benefits and continued investments in the overall customer experience.”
The airline will begin serving new products and services in the coming months.
