American Airlines’ Five Star Service experience is available for departures, arrivals and connections in select markets for American Airlines’ top customers only. Now, the airline expands the Five Star Service experience for travelers in New York (JFK) and Los Angeles (LAX) with new amenities.

Customers now have access to Blade, a private helicopter service, for airport transfers. Once at the airport, customers take a private Cadillac to Flagship First Check-In. After security clearance, guests wait in the Admirals Club, Flagship Lounge or Flagship First Dining before their flight.

“The No. 1 pain point of traveling from New York City and Los Angeles to the airports is traffic. Our Blade airport transfer product turns an hour-and-a-half drive into a helicopter flight that’s five to seven minutes,” said Rob Wiesenthal, founder and CEO, Blade. “Blade and American Airlines will now provide customers with a seamless experience from the door of the helicopter to their seat on their American flight.”

Travelers in Los Angeles also now have access to The Private Suite’s private airport entrance. Guest enjoy exclusive and expedited security screening and a Cadillac escort across the tarmac.
