With travel picking up amid the pandemic, American Airlines continues to ensure the health and safety of travelers and staff. One way being its expansion of in-flight testing and usage of the VeriFLY app.
The VeriFLY app is a mobile health wallet helping customers understand, track and verify COVID-19 testing and documentation requirements. Now, customers flying American Airlines from Miami International Airport to destinations in Colombia, Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador can use VeriFLY to ensure they meet government-required entry guidelines and can access an expedited check-in lane.
“Travel and testing requirements can be complex and using apps such as VeriFLY and offering testing through LetsGetChecked can make the process easier and more straightforward for our customers,” said Julie Rath, vice president of customer experience, American Airlines.
Customers departing MIA and using the VeriFLY app can use a dedicated entry lane in the North Terminal. The lane allows them to show their approved “pass” validation during check-in. The quick process allows passengers to skip the manual check of documentation, saving about 10 minutes.
Customers flying the routes mentioned above can also use LetsGetChecked for their required, pre-flight COVID-19 test. LetsGetChecked is a direct-to-customer, at-home COVID-19 test.
