This year, American Airlines celebrates 100 years of service and, to honor its birthday, the airline is launching a whopping 100 new flights this year from Chicago O’Hare International Airport. Starting this spring, American Airlines will offer more than 500 daily flights from ORD.
These 100 new daily flights include double the service to popular spring break destinations like Las Vegas (LAS), Panama City (ECP) and Sarasota (SRQ). More than double the flights begin this March to destinations like Savannah (SAV) and San Francisco (SFO).
Other increased flights include Boston (BOS), Cincinnati (CVG), Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW), Fort Myers (RSW) and Orlando (MCO).
“Our continued focus on Chicago during the next year — a year that we celebrate the centennial of American and our 100th year of service at ORD — will make our network even more attractive and continue to enhance the travel experience, improve reliability and introduce more premium options for our customers,” said Steve Johnson, vice chair and chief strategy officer, American Airlines. “Strategic investments at O’Hare in 2025 set the stage for a record-breaking 2026, reflecting our unwavering commitment to our customers, team members and the Chicagoland communities we serve, as well as our long-standing legacy to Chicago and O’Hare — and to our shared future.”
In addition to domestic routes, American Airlines also announced the extension of seasonal summer service from ORD to Dublin (DUB).
