Alisal Ranch recently launched its Alisal Ranch Trading Co., a product line inspired by the land. The launch included a custom California-made wellness product line produced in partnership with local GARA Skincare.

“We are thrilled to announce the launch of Alisal Ranch Trading Co.,” said Kathleen Cochran, general manager, Alisal Ranch. “This exciting milestone represents a unique moment for our property, and I’m proud that as a team, we decided to pave our own way and create a new line of products that captures the essence of the ranch and further elevates our guests’ experience. The partnership with GARA Skincare, a business that also calls the California Central Coast their home, was the perfect way to launch the new line.”

The product line features custom scents that embody the flora and fauna from the local area. Scent profiles of the natural origin, non-GMO and ethically sourced ingredients include sage, rose, fresh grass, oak moss and tobacco. It will be available for use in Alisal Ranch guest cottages and for purchase at The Mercantile.

“The partnership between GARA Skincare and Alisal Ranch unfolded naturally,” said Emilee Dziuk-Barnett, co-founder, GARA Skincare. “I was so inspired by the land, its wildness, the native plants and beautiful landscapes at the ranch. When developing the custom scents for Alisal Ranch, we looked at the native plans and their traditional uses by the indigenous Chumash peoples. We felt the energy of the land, and thought about all of the people whose histories are intertwined with this region, like ranchers and cowboys. Through this process, we chose to profile scents like rose, clary sage, oak moss and neroli, which we feel are such strong identifiers for Alisal Ranch’s custom scent.”
