Air France renewed its partnership with Hertz, Thrifty and Firefly car rentals as the airline’s exclusive providers for the next four years. The three rental car brands, under the Hertz Corporation, will become the exclusive providers for Air France-KLM group’s regional airline HOP! until 2020.
The agreement will benefit both airlines’ passengers that choose to rent with the companies, including discounts of up to 15 percent on basic car rental and products. Air France passengers will have access to a broad range of car rental vehicles through the company websites and the Air France website and app. The presence of all brands on the Air France mobile website and app allows customers to book their flight and car rental at the same time with a selection of vehicles and products available for a special rate.
“Hertz and Air France have enjoyed a successful partnership for the last 28 years, helping to drive the constant evolution in seamless ‘fly drive’ services to customers,” said Michel Taride, group president, Hertz International. “Our enhanced agreement with Air France and our new partnership with HOP! will result in added benefits tailored specifically for both carrier’s passengers, who will also receive fantastic Hertz, Thrifty and Firefly discounts and privileges.”
As part of the agreement, Air France passengers will receive a 15 percent discount on Hertz basic car rental and up to a 10 percent discount on Thrifty and Firefly basic car rental.
Hertz and Thrifty are launching car rental products catering to Air France and HOP! passengers: No Stress, Hertz car rental with fixed prices year-round, SuperCover, a free additional driver and unlimited mileage; Youth, elimination of the young renter surcharge for drivers between 19–23 years of age for those renting Hertz in France; and Family, a 15 percent discount on basic Thrifty car rental, a 50 percent discount on car seats and a free additional driver.
Air France Flying Blue members can earn additional miles on each rental made through the carrier’s website. In addition, elite members will receive Hertz Gold Plus Rewards loyalty program tier matching with extra car rental benefits. Air France’s La Premiere passengers will be met and greeted at airport arrivals by a Hertz customer service representative and escorted to their rental vehicle at Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) and Schiphol (AMS) airports.
