Two leading hotel management firms just announced an intention to merge, creating a global leader in third-party hotel management.
Once the deal is finalized, the combination will manage more than 1,400 properties in 49 states and 20 countries.
“Our united, global portfolio allows us the talent and expertise to ensure we deliver best-in-class operations across all hospitality product categories,” said Mike Deitemeyer, president and CEO, Interstate. Deitemeyer will act as the new organization’s global president.
Interstate Hotels and Resorts is a property management firm that manages properties in the AC Hotels by Marriot, Aloft Hotels and more brands.
The merger is pending completion based on regulatory approval. The operation is expected to be complete by the end of 2019.
