The Linq Man Cave

by John Wroblewski

Nov 25, 2018

Being in Las Vegas on a Sunday during football season means a long, fun day in front of multiple big screens. Due to the demand, finding a good spot is difficult.

The Linq offers a unique setup. Its man cave consists of couches and two medium-screen televisions and one huge-screen TV, which could be split into four smaller screens. Wagers could be made right in the area. The slight drawback is all food must come from the adjacent Sticky Chicken, which offered a limited menu. The options were delicious, but not attractive to beef lovers.

The adjacent Linq Promenade has several food options, including In-N-Out Burger and Jaburritos, where the sushi tacos are amazing. You can easily make a quick trip out of the Linq for these options, but you cannot bring the food back into the Linq man caves.

Most other places are first-come, first-served, which requires arriving well before the first game. Also, a larger party would have difficulty sitting together.

Las Vegas is already feeling the effect of the increasing number of states legalizing sports betting. Business owners recognize the need to enhance the experience. The Linq is one of the first to be a destination for sports betting. Others are starting to follow.

The football part of my weekend was fantastic. We all had fun eating, drinking and making silly dollar bets with each other throughout the games. I also took a little cash from Vegas as my Chicago Bears and Northwestern Wildcats won.
