Daily

Park Hyatt Aviara Resort, Golf Club & Spa offers an abundance of outdoor activities and adventures, including swimming in the resort pools, playing tennis or volleyball, golfing the Arnold Palmer-designed course and indulging at Aviara Spa, but the resort’s newest program might just be its most unique. Park Hyatt Aviara Resort, Golf Club & Spa launches the Surfing with the Chef program. Executive Chef Pierre Albaladejo will take guests from the kitchen to the beach and share his two passions, surfing and cooking, with them. The day begins with a morning in the kitchen with Chef preparing breakfast, followed by surf lessons at one of the local Carlsbad beaches, concluding with a “toes in the sand” meal on the beach prepared by Albaladejo. After lunch, guests are gifted a personalized longboard surfboard that will be shipped home for them following the visit. The resort’s proximity to some of Southern California’s best surfing makes this an enjoyable experience for surfers of all levels and age groups. “As a French-born and trained chef from a surfing town in the southwest of France, I naturally love the ocean,” said Pierre Albaladejo, executive chef, Park Hyatt Aviara Resort, Golf Club & Spa. “Having held positions in St. Thomas, Pebble Beach, Hawai’i, and now Southern California, surfing is in my blood and this exciting new offering allows me to share my passions in and out of the kitchen, while offering guests an out-of-the-box and unforgettable travel experience.” Newsletter sign-up

Amansara Review

It was more than a car journey; it was a transition between worlds. At our first hotel in Siem Reap, huge coaches constantly pulled up outside the lobby to deposit or receive international tour groups; we departed in very different style, in a 1965 black Mercedes limousine once owned by King Sihanouk. The mundanities of mass tourism were left behind. We progressed through the chaotic Cambodian streets in regal comfort and soon arrived at a solid gate.

Vinpearl Landmark 81, Autograph Collection Review

I am looking out at Vietnam’s largest city from the country’s tallest building. Sitting in a comfortable chair facing the floor-to-ceiling window, I have taken in the view in daylight and darkness at dusk and dawn. It’s ever-changing and always hypnotic.
