South America is our business. Together, LAN Airlines and TAM Airlines, part of LATAM Airlines Group, offer the most unparalleled network of destinations to, from and within South America. With service and easy connections to over 111 destinations, there isn’t anyone else that can get you everywhere your business or leisure travel takes you in the region. LAN and TAM merged in June 2012 and created LATAM Airlines Group, one of the largest airline groups in the world, offering US based travelers unparalleled connectivity from Miami, Orlando, Los Angeles and New York to over 40 destinations in Brazil and 69 destinations in the rest of South America.
2014 will be a huge year for travel for South America with the World Cup taking place in Brazil, and LAN and TAM are well positioned as the best choice to take travelers there. TAM offers the best options for connections inside Brazil flying to all 12 of the destinations that will host the World Cup venues.
Your South America experience begins the minute you step onboard with unique features like wine lists chosen for LAN Airline’s Premium Business class by the only Master Sommelier in South America, Hector Vergara and TAM’s wine menus in First and Business class that are overseen by leading Brazilian wine consultant Arthur Azevedo. LAN and TAM recently unveiled the new unified deign for the Airbus A350-900 and Boeing 787-900 aircraft on order for delivery in 2014. With a focus on a comfortable and welcoming experience, the design for the Premium Business and Economy cabins was inspired by South America’s colors and textures combining elegant natural tones that reflect the passionate culture and warmth of the region. For the past five consecutive years, LAN and TAM have alternated between first and second place in the Skytrax “Best Airlines in South America” award category.
TAM Airlines brings Brazil to oneworld. TAM Airlines recently joined LAN Airlines as part of the oneworld alliance, conveniently offering passengers the ability to earn qualifying miles on oneworld partner airlines. TAM Airlines will continue relationships with several airlines even after our exit from Star Alliance, which means passengers can still earn and redeem miles on these select partners.
New and Redesigned VIP Lounges. LAN and TAM have a total of eight VIP lounges in the Americas where passengers traveling in LAN Premium Business Class and TAM Business Class and First Class can rest and relax before and between flights in Bogota, Buenos Aires (Ezeiza), Miami, Santiago, and Sao Paulo. The lounges in Bogota and Buenos Aires were recently redesigned by prominent Chilean architect Matias Klotz in conjunction with design firm Studio Putnam and feature relaxation areas, individual bathrooms, showers, chaise lounges for sleeping, Business Centers, a children’s area, and unique beverages and cuisine inspired by all that the region has to offer. LAN and TAM VIP Lounges are accessible to passengers traveling on regional flights from country to country or international flights.
New 2014 LAN Premium Business class wine list. LAN Airlines recently unveiled the new wine list that will be featured onboard the airline and its’ affiliates Premium Business cabins for 2014. The list of 30 wines is hand selected each year by South America’s only Master Sommelier, Hector Vergara. The new wine 2014 wine list can be enjoyed onboard LAN Airlines Premium Business class cabins on Boeing 787, 767, and Airbus A340 airplanes as well as a reduced version of menu available onboard select Airbus A320’s in Premium Economy.
