The Sheraton Salzburg Hotel is now a designated Sheraton Grand property, recognized for its high level of design, service and guest experiences. “As Starwood’s largest and most global brand, we remain focused on our work to keep Sheraton in the spotlight through the continued growth and halo effect of Sheraton Grand. With a refreshed and enhanced aesthetic thanks to its €10 million renovation, Sheraton Grand Salzburg is a best-in-class example of the brand’s new elevated approach to design, making it an ideal candidate for the brand’s premier tier,” said Michael Wale, president, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Europe, Africa and Middle East. The recently refreshed Sheraton Grand Salzburg offers contemporary style merged with traditional features and 29 new guestrooms and suites. The entire sixth floor is completely restored, with new tech features, oak floors and unique wooden furnishings. Mirabell Restaurant is the hotel’s new dining option, a show kitchen serving a mix of local and international cuisine. Original offerings at the property include 166 guestrooms and suites, six specialty Sky Suites and a penthouse suite. “We are proud to receive the Sheraton Grand designation, enabling Sheraton Grand Salzburg to join the existing roster of esteemed hotels and resorts worldwide. Our team and ownership have worked diligently to ensure the hotel goes above and beyond in design and service, and it is thanks to the team’s undying support in providing unique experience to our guests every day that we become a Sheraton Grand,” said Herbert Mosbruck, general manager, Sheraton Grand Salzburg.

Amansara Review

It was more than a car journey; it was a transition between worlds. At our first hotel in Siem Reap, huge coaches constantly pulled up outside the lobby to deposit or receive international tour groups; we departed in very different style, in a 1965 black Mercedes limousine once owned by King Sihanouk. The mundanities of mass tourism were left behind. We progressed through the chaotic Cambodian streets in regal comfort and soon arrived at a solid gate.
