Qatar Airways introduced a new online system that allows passengers flying with Qatar to apply for tourist visas to Qatar. The new service is available at qatarairways.com for applicants who have a confirmed ticket in and out of Doha (DOH) on a Qatar Airways flight and have a hotel booking through Discover Qatar, the airline’s inbound holiday division. The visa will be issued for the duration of their hotel stay, which must be for tourism purposes only and not exceed 30 days. It takes approximately 10 days to process the visa and costs $55 per person. Applicants also have the option to fast-track the application, which takes approximately seven days, for a cost of $120 per person. Visas must be used within 60 days from the date of issue.
