Qatar Airways revealed its new and industry-leading environmental management system, which will better address the airline’s approaches to water consumption, waste and emissions. Qatar Airways’ goal is to reach IATA environmental assessment stage two certification by December 2017, covering all of its operations, both in the sky and on the ground.
“Qatar Airways is a member of IATA’s Environment Committee, and as such, our social and environmental responsibilities are of the upmost importance to us. We have made a firm commitment to allocating time and resources to continuously improving our environmental performance and establishing a sustainable aviation industry,” said Akbar Al Baker, CEO, Qatar Airways Group.
