Hyatt announced plans to open a Park Hyatt in Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil, the first Park Hyatt in Brazil; it is expected to open in 2017. Located in the city of Foz do Iguaçu in southwest Brazil, the hotel will be centrally located to Iguaçu National Park, a world heritage site renown for its Iguaçu Falls waterfalls. The park shares borders with Paraguay and Argentina, one of the most coveted resort, eco-travel and meetings and incentives destinations in the world.
The hotel will be part of a mixed-use development situated on a 98-acre parcel of land, including 30 Park Hyatt-branded two- and three-bedroom homes, residential sites for single-family homes and a 25-acre protected nature reserve. Park Hyatt Foz do Iguaçu will host 170 luxury rooms and suites, four restaurants and bars, a spa, a fitness center, an outdoor pool and more than 16,000 square feet of meeting and event space.
