Pendry Hotels, a luxury brand born out of Montage Hotels & Resorts, launched its first two properties earlier this year.
The Pendry San Diego and the Sagamore Pendry Baltimore bridge the gap between lifestyle and luxury. Rooms are set at a lower price range than Montage properties and aimed at younger consumers (ages 30–40 on average), making them more accessible. Rooms go for around $300 a night in San Diego and $400 in Baltimore, where Montage hotels average around $600 a night.
Amenities at the Sagamore Pendry Baltimore include waterfront views, outdoor dining and event space, a private dock, fine dining at its three restaurants and more. The Pendry San Diego has a more urban feel with a rooftop pool, proximity to the airport and convention center and chic city views.
The hotels focus on understanding the history and culture of the surrounding city for a more immersive experience. The Sagamore Pendry Baltimore has rooms designed to feel like ship cabins with brass and wood touches and a nautical theme, reflecting the city’s centricity to its harbor in both location and history.
Pendry will open two new properties in California in the coming years. The properties will include an address in La Quinta, opening in 2019, and West Hollywood, opening in 2020.
