Sleeping pods are becoming increasingly popular at large international airports, and Mexico City (MEX) is the latest to jump on the trend. The tight spaces serve as sleeping spots for travelers on the go, allowing them a few hours of rest between flights. The concept was popularized in Japan.

Mexico City International Airport opened izZzleep in Terminal 1 with 40 capsules, private lockers and bathrooms. Each capsule sleeps one person and comes with nothing more than a bed, high-definition TV, a safe, WiFi access and USB charging ports.

The pods rent for around $8 an hour with a two-hour minimum. Guests can also rent the pod for a full night for around $30. Private shower access costs extra.

The hotel was founded by a group of entrepreneurs who spent two years researching the idea. The space officially opened last month but was in a test phase for two months prior. The pod hotel partners expect to see around 12,000 people in the hotel’s first year, with an expansion coming to Terminal 2 and locations at other Mexican airports, including those in Guadalajara (GDL), Monterrey (MTY), Tijuana (TIJ) and Cancun (CUN).
