This summer, Malaysia Airlines will reinstate direct flights between Kuala Lumpur (KUL) and Brisbane (BNE).

An Airbus A330-300 will service the four-times-weekly flight, operating Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. The flight will depart Kuala Lumpur at 09:50, arriving in Brisbane at 19:55 the same day. The return will depart Brisbane at 23:20 and arrive in Kuala Lumpur at 05:50 the next day.

“Malaysia Airlines need to be agile in order to respond quickly to market demands and we are very excited to be re-instating Brisbane back to our network. Brisbane is strategically placed, in close proximity to many of Queensland’s tourist destinations, which will facilitate our growth plans focusing on key business and leisure cities,” said Izham Ismail, CEO, Malaysia Airlines.

In Australia, the airline currently operates flights between Kuala Lumpur and Sydney (SYD), Melbourne (MEL), Perth (PER) and Adelaide (ADL).

Tickets for the new flight are now on sale.
